Finding Work You Love
What’s Next Coaching started with the vision
to make it possible for people to find the passion within themselves
so that right work finds them. When one realizes one’s passion, the
energy is projected to interviewers, employers, business connections,
networking contacts, as well as friends and family. It’s all about
finding yourself in your work or business opportunity, the volunteer
or community role that is a perfect fit, or deciding to do something
completely different. It’s about discovering the vitality in one’s
work life so that work doesn’t feel like work. It’s an expansive
feeling to know that you have found the right work, in the right
place, at the right time.

Many people have relatively stable jobs but
find themselves to be unhappy. This time period, given the economy, may
not be the best time to jump ship. However, it is a terrific time to
evaluate what isn’t working and make changes that are possible within
your current job or organization. A surprising number of people stay
with the same employer, even when they have other job opportunities,
because they have made positive and fulfilling changes to what had been
a stale, awkward or uncomfortable job situation.
Job satisfaction coaching would include the
following:
-
Evaluate the obvious and not-so-obvious reasons
for job dissatisfaction
-
Clarify your goals, talents and skills
-
Develop strategies to increase your value,
visibility and impact in the current organization
-
Learn the skills to “manage your boss”
-
Identify what can be changed and what cannot be
changed
-
T-up the next career move
